Bad Wimpfen – romantic holiday destination and recognised salt water spa. The founding of the salt-works and the salt water they yielded triggered Wimpfen’s development into a popular spa town. The Spa Hotel Mathildenbad was opened in 1835 and played a central role in this development . In 1930 the town was given the title „Bad“ (= Spa).
