The major Carneval (Fasching)
Procession through the festively decorated old town of Bad Wimpfen takes place on Sunday and begins at 2:11 p.m. Every year dozens of musicians and groups from associated carneval societies and clubs create a great party atmosphere. The ceremonial burning of the "Fassebutzen" (a figure representing the spirit of carneval) in front of the Town Hall in Bad Wimpfen on Ash Wednesday marks the close of the carneval season, which begins again on the 11th November.
